Kanabit Support Privacy Terms Acknowledgements

Terms of Use

Effective 24 October 2026.

Kanabit is licensed to you under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). The points below add to it and explain how the subscription works in plain language. If they conflict with the EULA, the EULA wins.

Free trial and subscription

One-time purchase

The lifetime option is a one-time payment, not a subscription. It unlocks Kanabit on all devices signed in with the same Apple ID for as long as the app is available. Buying it does not cancel an active subscription; cancel the subscription yourself in Settings if you no longer need it.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, and Apple handles refunds under its own rules. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly, but write to support@kanabit.app if something went wrong and we will help you sort it out.

What Kanabit is and is not

Kanabit helps you recognise Japanese kana and beginner vocabulary through repeated exposure. It is not a course, does not teach grammar or conversation, and does not guarantee results on any exam. Readings and meanings come from open dictionaries listed in Acknowledgements; if you spot an error, use the report button on the card.

Widget behaviour

iOS decides when lock screen widgets refresh. Kanabit schedules a new card every hour (or at the interval you choose), but the system may delay updates to save battery. This is normal and not a defect.

Changes and availability

Features, prices and these terms may change; changes to price never apply to a period you have already paid for. If Kanabit is ever discontinued, purchases are removed from sale and the app keeps working offline for existing users.
